What I bring to the table is a commitment to civil discourse, listening to uncover shared values, build consensus and transform obstacles into opportunities. I am ready to use those skills to work on key issues facing our city from climate resilience to affordability, and I specifically want to focus on our history, arts and culture.
I’m running because I believe all decision making bodies should reflect their constituency. I have spent my life supporting and mentoring women, especially when it comes to leadership. When women lead, communities succeed.
I want to be part of the leadership that will successfully steward our city into the mid-21st century, prepared for all the challenges that may bring. I love Portsmouth and have been a decades long champion. I would welcome the chance to serve my city in this way.
Coming from a large family of bright, articulate and opinionated siblings, I feel so at home in a city with such an engaged community with so many diverse opinions. I look forward to representing Portsmouth residents and providing oversight of the stellar professional staff led by Karen Conard that supply city services to ensure a safe and healthy community.
